Bruce designed the Four Star 40 before moving to Oregon and starting his own Kit business. The venture 60 kit has all the best of everything. The wood is hand picked for the particular part of the plane. Everything just really fits well. His attention to details is unsurpassed. The design is much more pleasing with smoother lines. Now, don't get me wrong. The Four Star series is a very good and popular choice. For me, I will spend the extra money to get what I get in a Bruce Tharpe kit.
